Bus Stops

In October, 2011, the Muskegon Area Transit System implemented designated bus-stop service. The new stop-to-stop service provides a more timely and efficient bus service, promotes pedestrian and motorist safety, reduces wear and tear on bus equipment, and provides points of information throughout the community for those that would choose public transportation. Transitioning to marked bus stop locations allows riders to catch the bus without having to wave the bus down, wait at unmarked stop locations, or wonder when and where the bus will arrive.

MATS asks that you take note of where the new bus stop signs are located, as MATS now stops only at these designated, marked locations.  Please make plans for your boarding and de-boarding points by finding a stop most convenient to you.
