Accessibility
All Muskegon Area Transit System buses are equipped with a lift or ramp making it possible for persons in wheelchairs or persons who are otherwise mobility-impaired to use the bus system. These ramps are designed to be ADA-compliant and will accommodate most mobility devices. Once onboard, there are securement areas where wheelchairs or scooters will be securely fastened for the ride.
For those with visual impairments, buses are equipped with automated voice annunciation systems that will call out locations along the route, helping you to navigate the system by better knowing where you are.
If you have any questions or need help in using or navigating the system, please let your bus driver know, or contact our office.
